I like it better without the lines too, but she is getting a little lost into the background ( her head and upper body) It's like there isn't enough contrast or something.
oooh lovely textures! Maybe just add some highlights to make her more pronounced from the background? I also miss some of the details in the dress in the linework version, like the loops on her skirt and dots at the hem~ bring them back somehow! hehe~ I love it though, good show! =)
I like her better without lines too, but one thing looks slightly odd. That is the hem of her dress, where the red part comes down, it's not clear why it doesn't come down all the way to the floor. Without the lines there, it looks kind of like an apron floating on top of the yellow. But she's lovely, and her hands are very graceful. :)
Defintely lost in the background. I don't really think that light is necessary- I'd like to see some sort of actual backgrounds. Maybe her in front of a big window?
