Sketching at the Museum of Natural History

Today Alisa, Christi, Meaghan and I went to the American Museum of Natural History to draw. It was air conditioned. I like air conditioning.

We bypassed the dead animals of North America, Africa, etc... and headed to the Hall of Biodiversity. It has dead animals too, including a gross gargantuan pickled lobster, but it's much more interesting than the other animal rooms.

Here's my Page O' Diversity:

Then we looked at american indians in cases...and then made our way to the pacific islanders room, where there were no fake people in cases, just cool artifacts.

the race

This is my fathers day present for my dad...he hasn't gotten it yet, but i wanted to post it on my blog. its sorta an illustration of a stupid joke he used to tell all the time.

It's the end of a big race, and the announcer says, "The Lettuce is ahead, the Tomato is trying to catch up, and the Toilet Paper is wiping up the rear!"
