I'm tired of looking at tall skinny models in dresses. It doesn't give me any idea how it would look on me. So I tried using photoshop to make it more accurate. :P

Mad Men inspired 60s cocktail party

Some pictures from Sarah's 60s cocktail party. I loved seeing everyone get dressed up, especially Nelson in his awesome hat. I went shopping at thrift stores looking for "grandma" jewelery and found massive clip on earrings and that chunky necklace.

I'm not too happy with how her skin came out. I overworked the paper and it and the colors got messy.

Governor's Island watercolor portrait

Today Nelson and I went to Governor's Island for the 20s jazz picnic again. I loved this lady's head scarf and very pronounced chin. I wish people would've stopped standing in the way while i painted.

My sapphire engagement ring!

It looks like a darker blue in these photos. It's really a bit lighter and amazingly sparkly. I love it and I love Nelson!
